The dentist assigned to your will take photographs of your teeth as well as impressions of your teeth. You may also be asked to do a CT scan so that we will know the right spot to fix the implant. Who is eligible for implants?
Anyone can have an implant.
If you consent to the implant procedure, your Advanced Family Dental practitioner will create a plan of treatment that meets your dental and aesthetic needs. The dentist assigned to you will also take great care to explain the process of treatment so that you are well prepared.
What’s the procedure for fixing dental implants?
The dentist will make a small incision in your gum so that he or she can place the implant. Once the implant has been made, your dentist can fit in the crown, and you’ll leave our office with your smile fully restored.
However, if the site is slightly injured and needs some healing time, dentists at Advanced Family Dental will give you a temporary crown to close the gap. You’ll then visit us again at a later date to get the permanent crown.
Dental implants are fixed under local anesthesia. This means that you will be awake throughout the procedure but will not feel any pain. However, if you feel anxious about the treatment, we can give you some sedation therapy to relax and calm you.
